CHAPTER 705.
(Senate Bill 82)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 89B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "State Roads", sub-
title "Duties and Powers", said new section to be known
as Section 44A and to follow immediately after Section 44
of said Article, relating to the construction, repair and
maintenance of roads and driveways within the grounds of
the several state hospitals and other state institutions..

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
89B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition),
title "State Roads", sub-title "Duties and Powers", said new
section to be known as Section 44A, to follow immediately
after Section 44 of said article, and to read as follow::

44A. It shall be the duty and obligation of the State Roads
Commission to construct, repair and maintain all roads and
driveways within the grounds and property of the several state
hospitals and other state institutions when so requested by
the officers of any of said hospitals or institutions, the cost
of said construction, repair and maintenance to be borne by
the hospital or institution requesting that the work be done.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 2
of Article 22 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1943 Sup-
plement), title "Post Mortem Examiners", relating to the
compensation to be paid to the Chief Medical Examiner and
the Assistant Medical Examiners.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 2 of Article 22 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1943 Supplement), title "Post Mortem Examiners",
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:
