by repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:

16. The circuit courts for the several counties and of Balti-
more City may, upon petition of either of the parties, inquire
into, hear and determine and the circuit court for the several
counties and the Criminal Court of Baltimore, on indictment,
may inquire into, hear and determine the validity of any mar-
riage and may declare any marriage contrary to the table in
this Article, or any second marriage, the first subsisting, null
and void; and on appeal the depositions and evidence given in
the cause shall be transmitted with the record to the Court of
Appeals and thereupon such cause shall be heard, determined
and adjudged de novo. In any case in which the Criminal Court
of Baltimore City declares a marriage null and void, the clerk
of said court shall transmit a complete transcript of the
docket entries thereof to the Clerk of the Circuit Courts of
Baltimore City for indexing and recording among the records
of said Circuit Court. In any case in which a marriage shall
be declared null and void in a criminal proceeding in the cir-
cuit court of a county, the clerk of said court shall enter same
on the equity docket of said court.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 665.
(House Bill 433).

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
144 of Article 11 of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland (1943 Edition), title "Banks and Trust Com-
panies", sub-title "Credit Unions", providing for the reserve
funds of Credit Unions.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 144 of Article 11 of the Code of Public
General Laws of Maryland (1943 Edition), title "Banks and
Trust Companies", sub-title "Credit Unions", be and the same
is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

144. All entrance fees, transfer fees and fines shall, after
the payment of the organization expenses, be known as reserve
