CHAPTER 87.

(Senate Bill 100)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 27 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Crimes and Punish-
ments", sub-title 'Conspiracy", said new section to be known
as Section 43A and to follow immediately after Section 43
of said Article, providing for a short form of indictment or
warrant for the crime of conspiracy.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Crimes and Punishments", sub-title "Conspiracy", said new
section to be known as Section 43A, to follow immediately
after Section 43 of said Article, and to read as follows:

43A. In any indictment or warrant for the crime of con-
spiracy, it shall be sufficient to use a formula substantially
to the following effect: "That A-B and C-D on the............

day of............... 19...., at the County (City) aforesaid

unlawfully conspired together to murder X-Y, (or other con-
spiracy here stating briefly the object of the conspiracy),
against the peace, government and dignity of the State. "

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 27 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Crimes and Punish-
ments", sub-title "Bigamy", said new section to be known
as Section 19A and to follow immediately after Section 19
of said Article, providing for a short form of indictment or
warrant for the crime of bigamy.
