$1, 550. 00 per school year for the fifth and sixth years of serv-
ice; $1, 650. 00 per school year for the seventh and eighth years
of service; $1, 750. 00 per school year for the ninth and tenth
years of service; $1, 850. 00 per school year for the eleventh year
of service; $1, 900. 00 per school year for the twelfth year of
service; $2, 000. 00 per school year for the thirteenth year of
service; $2, 100. 00 per school year for the fourteenth year of
service and $2, 200. 00 per school year for the fifteenth year and
each succeeding year of service thereafter.

No teacher, with degree, holding a regular first grade or
higher certificate shall receive a salary less than $1, 500. 00 per
school year for the first year of service; $1, 500. 00 per school
year for the second year of service; $1, 600. 00 per school year
for the third year of service; $1, 650. 00 per school year for the
fourth year of service; $1, 750. 00 per school year for the fifth
and sixth years of service; $1, 850. 00 per school year for the
seventh and eighth years of service; $1, 950. 00 per school year
for the ninth and tenth years of service; $2, 050. 00 per school
year for the eleventh year of service; $2, 100. 00 per school year
for the twelfth year of service; $2, 200. 00 per school year for the
thirteenth year of service; $2, 300. 00 per school year for the
fourteenth year of service; $2, 400. 00 per school year for the
fifteenth year and each succeeding year of service thereafter.
Any such teacher having charge of a two-teacher elementary
school shall receive $100. 00 per school year more than the fore-
going schedule requires. A principal of an elementary school
with from two to five assistants shall receive $200. 00 per school
year more than the foregoing schedule requires; the principal
of an elementary school, with from six to nine assistants, shall
receive $400. 00 per school year more than the foregoing sched-
ule requires; the principal of an elementary school with ten or
more assistants shall receive $600. 00 per school year more than
the foregoing schedule requires.

The salary of a teacher or principal holding a provisional
certificate shall be $200. 00 less per school year than that re-
quired for a teacher or principal holding a regular certificate
for the same grade.

The schedule hereinbefore set forth shall become effective
July 1, 1945, and mot then unless the General Assembly of
Maryland at its regular Session 1945 shall have passed a
General Law setting up a minimum salary schedule applicable,
among others, to the teachers and elementary principals de-
scribed in this Act.

The County Commissioners of Allegany County shall, in their
annual levy for the year 1945 and annually thereafter, levy
sufficient funds to meet the schedule of salaries herein estab-
lished.
