the bonds so issued have matured and been redeemed, the
Mayor and Council of Keedysville shall annually levy a
special tax on the assessable property of said town suffi-
cient to pay the interest on the bonds outstanding and the
principal of bonds maturing during the succeeding year.
Said tax shall become a lien upon the property assessed
and shall be collected in the same manner as other taxes.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That before any
bonds shall be issued, and sold pursuant to this Act, the
question of such issue shall first be submitted to the legally
qualified voters of Keedysville at a regular or special
municipal election or elections on such date or dates not
later than December 31, 1949, as shall be determined by
the Mayor and Council of said Town. There shall be printed
on the ballots to be used at said election the title of this
Act, the amount of bonds to be issued and the purpose for
which the proceeds will be used and underneath said title,
on separate lines a square or box to the right of and oppo-
site the words "For Bond Issuance, " and a corresponding
square or box to the right of and opposite the words
"Against Bond Issuance, " so that the voters shall be able
to designate by a cross mark in the proper square or box
his or her decision for or against said bond issue. If a
majority of the votes cast shall be "For Bond Issuance, "
then said bonds shall be issued and sold, but if a majority
of the votes cast shall be "Against Bond Issuance, " then
said bonds shall not be issued or sold.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1945.

AN ACT to add a new sub-section to Section 222 of Article
81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1943 Supple-
ment), title "Revenue and Taxes, " sub-title "Income
Tax, " said new sub-section to be known as Sub-section
(s) and to follow immediately after Sub-section (r) of

, said section defining for the purpose of said sub-title
the term "head of a family. "
