ceed the amount required for legal reserves and all other lia-
bilities by not less than one hundred thousand dollars; (c)
shall have deposited with the Treasurer of the State of Mary-
land cash, or securities of the character referred to in Section
19, having a market value of not less than one hundred thou-
sand dollars ($100, 000) for the protection of all of its policy
holders. The aforesaid deposit shall at all times be main-
tained in an amount at least equal to the minimum above re-
ferred to.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 456.
(House Bill 24)

AN ACT to add eight new sections to Article 66 1/2 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1943 Supplement), title
"Motor Vehicles", sub-title "Motor Vehicle Financial Re-
sponsibility", said new sections to be known as Sections
110A»to 110H, inclusive, and to follow immediately after
Section 110 of said Article, relating to security to be fur-
nished in case of certain accidents.

SECTION 1. Be. it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That eight new sections be and they are hereby added
to Article 66 1/2 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1943
Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title "Motor Vehicle
Financial Responsibility", said new sections to be known as
Sections 110A to 110H, inclusive, to follow immediately after
Section 110 of said Article, and to read as follows:

110A. (Report of Accident Required. ) (a) The operator
of every motor vehicle which is in any manner involved in
an accident within this State, in which any person is killed or
injured, or in which damage to the property of any one person,
including himself, in excess of $50. is sustained, shall imme-
diately report the matter in writing to the Department. If
such operator be physically incapable of making such report,
the owner of the motor vehicle involved in such accident, shall,
as soon as he learns of the accident, report the matter in
writing to the Department. The operator or the owner shall
make such other and additional reports relating to such acci-
dent as the Department shall require.
