There is hereby created a Fire Board of the Hillandale
Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., of Montgomery County.
The" Board of Trustees of the Hillandale Volunteer Fire
Department, Inc., of Montgomery County, shall constitute
the said Fire Board.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 423.

(Senate Bill 455)

AN ACT to authorize and empower, and, under certain
circumstances, to direct the County Commissioners of
Montgomery County to incur an indebtedness in an,
amount not to exceed Twenty Thousand Dollars
($20, 000. 00) for the purpose of enabling said County
to assist the Hillandale Volunteer Fire Department,
Incorporated, in the construction and equipment of a
new Fire Department! building and the purchase of
needed additional fire fighting equipment and
apparatus; to authorize and empower said County
Commissioners of Montgomery County to evidence said
indebtedness by the issue and sale, at public or private
sale, of not exceeding Twenty Thousand Dollars
($20, 000. 00) aggregate par amount of its negotiable
coupon bonds, said bonds to be issued upon the full faith
and credit of said County but to be payable, as to prin-
cipal and interest, primarily from the proceeds of the
special ad valorem tax authorized to be levied by Chap-
ter 570 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland
passed at the 1943 Session; authorizing and empowering
the Board of County Commissioners of Montgomery
County to determine the method, manner and terms of
sale of said bonds, without the necessity of submitting
the same to a referendum of the qualified voters of the
County, or any subdivision thereof; prescribing the ma-
turities of said bonds; authorizing the payment of the
net proceeds of the sale of said bonds to the Treasurer
of the Hillandale Volunteer Fire Department, Incorpo-
rated, and the expenditure of said fund by him subject
to certain limitations and conditions, for the purposes
aforesaid; authorizing and empowering the County Com-
missioners of Montgomery County to levy unlimited ad
