CHAPTER 35.
(House Bill 47)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
243A of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1943
Supplement), title "Testamentary Law", sub-title "Orphans'
Court", relating to transfer of title of motor vehicle when it
is the only asset of a decedent's estate.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 243A of Article 93 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1943 Supplement), title "Testamentary Law",
sub-title "Orphans' Court", be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
243A. When the assets of a decedent's estate consist only of
a motor vehicle, the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles may, upon
proof satisfactory to him that all debts and taxes owed by the
decedent have been paid, transfer the title to such motor ve-
hicle to the person entitled thereto and, upon application of
such person, refund the amount of license fee for the unused
portion of the year, calculated on a quarterly basis; and, in
such case, no administration of the decedent's estate need be
had.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 36.
(House Bill 58)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-section
(5) of Section 23 of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1943 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages",
sub-title "Licenses", relating to refund of license fee under
certain conditions.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sub-section (5) of Section 23 of Article 2B of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1943 Supplement), title "Alco-
holic Beverages", sub-title "Licenses", be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
