SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 46 of Article 41 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Governor—Executive and Ad-
ministrative Departments", sub-title ''Governor", be and it is
hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And "be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

Approved January 31, 1945.

CHAPTER 25.

(Senate Bill 44)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 89B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "State Roads", sub-
title "Revenue Bonds", said new section to be known as Sec-
tion 131A, and to follow immediately after Section 131 of
said Article, relating to the use of toll bridges or tunnels.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
89B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"State Roads", sub-title "Revenue Bonds", said new section to
be known as Section 131A, to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 131 of said Article, and to read as follows:

131A. Any person who shall use any bridge or tunnel and
shall refuse to pay the toll as fixed and prescribed under the
provisions of Section 131 of this Article shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished
by a fine of not more than $10. 00 for each such offense; pro-
vided that no toll shall be charged for funerals using any
bridge or tunnel.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety and having
been passed upon by yea and nay vote supported by three-
fifths of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of
the General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
