CHAPTER 995.
(Senate Bill 640)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Chapter
21 of the Acts of 1836, entitled "An Act to increase the
number of Trustees of Charlotte Hall School, " relating
to the number and appointment of the Trustees of Char-
lotte Hall School.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Chapter 21 of the Acts of 1836, entitled "An Act to
increase the number of Trustees of Charlotte Hall School, "
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

The Governor is hereby authorized to appoint ten mem-
bers to the Board of Trustees of Charlotte Hall School, so
that the whole board shall hereafter be composed of thirty
members, ten from St. Mary's County, ten from Charles
County and ten appointed by the Governor.

The Trustees appointed by the Governor shall serve for
terms of five years, except that of the Trustees first
appointed two shall serve for a term of one year, two for a
term of two years, two for a term of three years, two for
a term of four years, and two for a term of five years.
Any vacancies occurring among the Trustees appointed
from St. Mary's and Charles Counties, shall be filled in the
manner heretofore provided by law.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1945.

AN ACT to authorize the creation of a State debt in the aggre-
gate amount of not exceeding Two Million Dollars ($2, 000,-
000), the proceeds thereof to be used for the purpose of ac-
quiring and equipping an existing office building or erecting
and equipping a new State Office Building in Baltimore City,
and to provide generally for the issue and sale of Certificates
of Indebtedness evidencing such loan.
