Maryland, to perform the duties required by this sub-title
of the said Magistrate for Juvenile Causes pending such
absence, illness, disability or disqualification.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That if any section
or provision of this sub-title is held to be invalid such inval-
idity shall not affect the validity or applicability of the
other sections or provisions thereof.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1945.

(Senate Bill 530)
AN ACT to add two new sections to Article 16 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
title "Montgomery County", sub-title "Schools", said new-
sections to be known as Sections 997 and 998 and to
follow immediately after Section 996 of said Article,
said new sections replacing the two old sections 997 and
998 of said Article, as codified in the Code of Public Local
Laws of Montgomery County (1939 Edition), which said
two old sections 997 and 998 were repealed by Chapter
227 of the Laws of the Maryland General Assembly, Ses-
sion of 1943, authorizing the Board of Education of
Montgomery County to provide certain transportation to
children attending certain schools in Montgomery County
and authorizing the County Commissioners of said
County to levy and appropriate sufficient funds to pay
the costs thereof.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That two new sections be and they are hereby added to
Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Montgomery County", sub-title
"Schools", said new sections to be known as Sections 997
and 998 and to follow immediately after Section 996 of said
Article, said two new sections replacing the two old sec-
tions 997 and 998 of said Article as codified in the Code
of Public Local Laws of Montgomery County (1939 Edi-
tion) and which two said old sections were repealed by
Chapter 227 of the Laws of Maryland, Session of 1943,
said two new sections to read as follows:
997. All children, who attend any denominational or pa-
rochial non-profit schools in Montgomery County,
