Inspections and entries, issuing and revoking licenses, consult-
ing records and giving information, as said powers and duties
are conferred by said Sections 367 to 378, inclusive, of said
Article 27 upon the office of Commissioner of Labor and
Statistics or its Commissioner, or any inspectors, deputies,
assistants, officers or employees thereof, shall thereupon be
transferred to and imposed and devolved upon the Department
of Labor and Industry and its Commissioner, together with
all records, documents, papers, monies, and all property and
things of or appertaining to the said office of Commissioner
of Labor and Statistics, all in like manner and to the same
extent and with the same effect as if the said Department of
Labor and Industry had been originally named in said sections
as the body upon which said powers and duties were con-
ferred. These same provisions as aforesaid shall also apply to
all other laws or amendments to laws in which the office of the
Commissioner of Labor and Statistics is named as the enforce-
ment agency or the Commissioner of the office of Commissioner
of Labor and Statistics is named as the enforcement agent.
FINES AND FORFEITURES.
15. That all violations of any of the provisions of any of
the laws the enforcement of which is by the Act of 1916, Chap-
ter 406, transferred to the Department of Labor and Industry,
which may be committed before June 1, 1945, shall be prose-
cuted and punished as if said Act had not been passed.
All violations of any of the provisions of such laws which
may be committed after June 1, 1945, shall be prosecuted and
punished in accordance with the terms thereof; and whenever
such laws confer any rights or privileges of any kind upon any
of the boards, commissions, bureaus, inspectors or officials
whose powers and duties are by said Act transferred to the
Department of Labor and Industry, and whenever such laws
impose any duties or obligations of any kind upon any corpora-
tions, firms or individuals with respect to any of the said
boards, commissions, bureaus, inspectors or officials, then all
violations of such provisions of such laws shall be prosecuted
and punished as if the Department of Labor and Industry, had
been named in such laws as the body having such rights or
privileges or to which such duties or obligations were owed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.
