(c) Application for County Dredging License. Every appli-
cant for a license to dredge in the waters of Dorchester, Talbot
or Somerset Counties shall make application for said license
to the Clerk of the Circuit Court of the county wherein he
may reside in the same manner that application is made to the
Department of Tidewater Fisheries for a license to dredge in
the Chesapeake Bay.

(d) Issuance of License. Upon the applicant's oath and upon
receipt of application, the Clerk of the Circuit Court shall
issue to said applicant a numbered license and a piece of
canvas bearing the number of the license painted in red; and
for such license and number said applicant shall pay to said
Clerk a license fee of Two Dollars ($2. 00) per gross ton for
every gross ton said boat shall measure; and in addition
thereto shall pay a special fee of fifty cents (50) to said
Clerk for the issuance of said license.

(e) Disposition of Fees. All moneys received from licenses
for dredging in county waters, except the Clerk's fee, shall be
allocated as follows: One-half to the Comptroller of the
Treasury to be credited to the oyster fund, and one-half to
the County Commissioners to be used for public schools of
the county wherein such licenses are issued.

(f) Blank Licenses and License Numbers. The Comptroller
of the Treasury shall, before the first day of October of each
year, furnish the Clerks of the Circuit Courts of Dorchester,
Talbot and Somerset Counties, respectively, a sufficient num-
ber of printed license blanks, each provided with space for
recording the name of the owner, the number of the boat and
the capacity of said boat; and said Comptroller shall also
furnish to each Clerk a piece of canvas bearing the number of
the license painted in red.

(g) Display of License Number. The owner of any licensed
dredge boat shall securely fasten the canvass number to his
licensed boat on the port side of the mainsail, such number
shall be worn in an upright position at all times during the
dredging season, and shall not be concealed or defaced.

(h) Other Provisions on Dredging in County Waters. All
the provisions, restrictions, and obligations imposed by Section
6, Sub-sections (e), (f), (i), (j), (k), (1), (m), (n), and (o),
upon boats and the masters or captains of such boats dregding
in the Chesapeake Bay, shall apply with equal force to boats
and the masters or captains of boats dredging in county
waters; and any boat, or the master or captain of any boat,
found violating any provision of this sub-section shall be sub-
ject to the same penalties provided for similar violations of
Section 6.
