of the United States during the present war shall be construed
as having been spent on said Police Force for the purpose of
determining seniority rating. The provisions of this section
shall only apply to those who were members of the said Police
Force when war was declared or who were members of the
naval or army reserves and had been called into service prior
to the declaration of war and again became members of said
Police Force or who shall hereafter become members of said
Police Force.
SEC. 2. And be U further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 173.
(House Bill 78)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 39 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1943 Supplement), title "Fish and Fish-
eries", sub-title "Crabs", said new section to be known as
Section 113-B and to follow immediately after Section 113-A
of said Article, making it unlawful to possess, sell, offer to
sell or transport certain lobsters.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land) That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
39 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1943 Supplement), title
"Fish and Fisheries", sub-title "Crabs", said new section to be
known as Section 113-B, to follow immediately after Section
113-A of said Article, and to read as follows:
113-B. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corpora-
tion to possess, sell or offer to sell or transport any spawning
lobster or any. lobster measuring less than 3 1/8 inches from the
rear end of the eye socket along a line parallel to the center
line of the body shell (carapace) to the rear of such body shell
(carapace).
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.
