364 of the Acts of 1937, increasing the salary of the County
Commissioners of Howard County and the time of payment
thereof and providing additional compensation to the Chair-
man of the Board of County Commissioners.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 60 of Article 14 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Howard County",
sub-title "County Commissioners", as the same was amended by
Chapter 364 of the Acts of 1937, be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
60. The County Commissioners of Howard County shall
each receive an annual salary of twelve hundred dollars
($1, 200. 00), beginning after the General Election in 1946, and
each year thereafter, payable in equal monthly installments of
one hundred dollars in lieu of all other compensation per diem
or mileage, and traveling expenses, provided, however, that
said Commissioners shall elect one of their members as Chair-
man and he shall be paid a sum of two hundred dollars
($200. 00) per annum in addition to his salary of twelve hun-
dred dollars ($1, 200. 00).
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
261 of Article 14 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Howard County", sub-
title "Roads", as said section was amended by Chapter 374
of the Acts of 1943, relating to the compensation of the
County Road Superintendent of Howard County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 261 of Article 14 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Howard
County", sub-title "Roads", as said section was amended by
Chapter 374 of the Acts of 1943, be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
