1110 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 872

834. The Purchasing Agent shall prepare such reports and
make such studies and perform such other duties as the County
Commissioners may direct, and shall furnish to the using au-
thorities copies of awards for any and all materials, supplies,
and equipment requisitioned by them.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That if any provision of
this Act, or the application thereof to any person or circum-
stance, is held invalid, the remainder of the Act and the appli-
cation of such provision to other persons or circumstances shall
not be affected thereby.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That all laws or parts of
any Public General or Public Local Laws inconsistent with the
provisions of this Act be and the same are hereby repealed to
the extent of such inconsistency.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 872.
(House Bill 766)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-section
(i) of Section 5, sub-title "Tonging", of Article 72 of the
Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Oysters and
Clams" as said Article was enacted by Chapter 929 of the
Acts of 1945 (House Bill 167), reserving the natural oyster
bar known as "Hickory Thicket" for the exclusive use of
tongers of Kent County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sub-section (i) of Section 5, sub-title "Tonging" of
Article 72 of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland,
title "Oysters and Clams", as said sub-section was enacted by
Chapter 929 of the Acts of 1945 (House Bill 167), be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:

(i) (Privileges of a Tonging License—Locations. ) Any
person granted a tonging license in the manner described in
the preceding sub-sections shall be entitled to take or catch
oysters with tongs and patent tongs during the season for
taking oysters as follows: In the waters of the county wherein
such license is granted; in the waters of the Potomac River;
