SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 866.
(House Bill 575)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
487 of Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel County", sub-
title "Treasurer", relating to the election of a County
Treasurer, the commencement, duration, and expiration of
his term of office, removal for misbehavior, his powers and
duties; to change the time that the term of office com-
mences and expires.

WHEREAS, the expense of a special audit will be avoided if
the time of expiration of the term of office of the County
Treasurer is made to coincide with the time of the regular
county audit; now, therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 487 of Article 2 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel
County", sub-title ''Treasurer", be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

487. At the general election for county officers for Anne
Arundel County, to be held on the Tuesday next after the
first Monday in November, nineteen hundred and forty-six,
and on the same day in every fourth ear thereafter, there
