propriate resolution: Allegany, Carroll, Dorchester, Fred-
erick, Talbot, Worcester, Washington and Wicomico.
The County Treasurers of Somerset County, Calvert
County and Garrett County are hereby mandatorily directed
to act as the agent of the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles
in the registration of motor vehicles of the Class A pass-
enger or pleasure type and to issue metal plates or markers,
as herein above provided.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public health and
safety and, having been passed by a yea and nay vote,
supported by three-fifths of all of the members elected to
each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same
shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 132.
(Senate Bill 190)
AN ACT to repeal Sections 229 and 230 of Article 2 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
title "Anne Arundel County, " sub-title "County Com-
missioners, " authorizing the County Commissioners to
abate taxes to encourage Manufacturers and Manufac-
turing Industries.
WHEREAS, Section 7 of Article 81 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland, (1939 Edition), authorizes County Commis-
sioners to exempt Manufacturers thus rendering these Sec-
tions unnecessary; therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 229 and 230 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel
County, " sub-title "County Commissioners, " be and it is
hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1945.
