County", sub-title "Galena", said new section to be known as
Section 207A, and to follow immediately after Section 207
of said Article, authorizing the Town Commissioners of said
town to contract for the laying and installation of water and
sewer systems.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
15 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Kent County", sub-title "Galena", said new section
to be known as Section 207A, to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 207 of said Article, and to read as follows:

207A. The said Town Commissioners are authorized and
empowered to contract with the Galena Fire Company, or with
any other person, firm, or corporation for supplying water, for
the laying and installation of water and sewer pipes, and of all
necessary equipment and fixtures thereof, for supplying water
and removing sewage for the residents of the town, as funds
for such work are available.

The said Town Commissioners are also authorized and em-
powered to acquire a water supply by purchase, gift or other-
wise and to impose and collect water rents or charges for the
use of water and such water charges shall be liens upon the
property served.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 829.
(House Bill 696)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
648 of Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Allegany County", sub-title
"Westernport", and to add two new sections to said Article,
said new sections to be known as Sections 642A and 651 A,
and to follow immediately after Sections 642 and 651, respec-
tively, of said Article, relating to the maximum tax rate, the
assessment of property, maximum salaries for the Mayor and
Commissioners of Westernport and limiting their power to
borrow money.
