CHAP. 55.

government of said office and agents.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the earnings of
said office after paying all expenses of the same and
salaries of its officers, shall be regularly divided
among the stockholders in the manner and at the
times prescribed by said act of incorporation and
supplements.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the said bank be
required to redeem its issues with gold or silver,
on demand, at the counter of the said office of dis-
count and deposit if established.

In force.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this act shall go
into operation or take effect from the day of its pas-
sage.

AN ACT to incorporate the Town of Uniontown
in Carroll county, Maryland.

Incorporated

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the citizens of Uniontown in
Carroll county, Maryland, with additions hereby
described, commencing at the alley or lane west of
Barney Dunson's lot at the west end of Union
town, and running south twenty-five perches, then
parallel with the Main street of said town, to the
house of Elizabeth Dern, at the east of Uniontown,
then due north fifty perches with a line parallel
with the aforesaid in a western direction until it
shall intersect the division line between Henry W.
Dell and William Roberts, then with a line to in-
clude the grave yard belonging to the St. Lucas
Church, then with a straight line to include the
property of Z. Welling, thence west with the pub-
lic road leading from Uniontown to Middleburgh,
to the place of beginning, and that the limits and
bounds as above described, shall be and constitute
the town of Uniontown, and the citizens of the same
shall be and are made and constituted a body cor-
porate by the name of the Burgess and Commis-
