289. An act to provide for the copying or transcribing a
record in the office of the Register of Wills, in Montgomery
county,

290. An act to amend the Code of Public Local Laws of
Caroline county, by repealing 181st section, relating to schools,
and substituting therefor the following.

29. 1. An act to incorporate the People's Gas Company of
Baltimore city.

292. An act to amend an act, passed January session, 1854,
entitled, an act to incorporate the Towsontown Plank Road
Company.

293. An act to authorize the Baltimore and Ohio Rail Road
Company to subscribe to the capital stock of the Baltimore
and Potomac Rail Road Company.

294. An act to add the following sections, relating to
schools, to article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws.

295. An act to make valid a deed from Nicholas E. Igle-
hart to John Owen, all of Howard county, State of Mary-
land.

296. An act to amend the 24th, 25th and 34th sections,
relating to the city of Cumberland, of the 1st article of the
Code of Public Local Laws.

291. An act to preserve certain Land Records of Montgom-
ery county.

298. An act to incorporate a company to construct a turn-
pike road from Hagerstown to Clearfoss' Cross Roads, in
Washington county.

299. An act for the relief of Thomas Posey, of St. Mary's
county, and to provide for the levying of a tax on the assessa-
ble property of said county; to compensate the the said Posey
for the loss of his slave William, whose death was occasioned
by an affray in the village of Chaptico in said county, in the

month of January, 1858.

300. An act to repeal section 67 of Article 30 of the Code
of Public General Laws, in regard to gunning, so far as re-
lates to Dorchester county, and to add the folio wing as a sec-
tion to article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws.

301. An act to authorize Thomas B. Sherman, of Dorches-
ter county, to construct a wharf on Indian Creek, in in said
county.
