or Comptroller, and recorded in the

office of the clerk of the Superior

court of Baltimore, a copy of which

shall be evidence.

Commissioners to estimate and value

several, and lots, and return sepa-

rate estimate of each to Secretary of

State,

But shall not dispose of said, or lots,

at less than estimated value, and

shall sell the same at public auction,

but the sum bid must equal or ex-

ceed estimated value,

Said commissioners authorised to pur-

chase lot or lots, and contract for

the erection of new, on navigable

water, of sufficient depth to admit

vessels drawing 20 feet water, on the

northwest branch of the Patapsco

river, such lot or lots, to be suffi-

ciently large to erect a warehouse or

houses, competent to receive for in-

spection and storage all the tobac-

co which, in their judgment, will be

on hand for inspection and storage

in Baltimore city, at any one time,

but shall not enter into any contract

for erecting new, until they shall

ascertain that the proceeds of the

sale of the present, will defray the

whole expense of the new,

exchange them for lots which will

answer the purposes of this act, as

to said commissioners shall seem

best,

est responsible bidder,
