That the northwestern line of this

State is a line commencing at the

Fairfax stone, at head of north

branch of Potomac river, and run-

ning thence due north to the south-

ern line of Pennsylvania., as sur-

veyed in 1859, by commissioners of

Maryland and Virginia, appointed

for the purpose,

Appropriating $10, 000 to pay State's
portion of such expenses as may be

required to complete the survey and

record of said lines, and that the

commissioners of this State, and the

United States' engineer employed,

for services rendered and to be ren-

dered, shall be such as the Governor

may deem reasonable, provided it

does not exceed $2, 000 per annum to

the former and $1, 000 per annum to

the latter,
