APPROPRIATIONS—

ginia, the salary of the commission-

To pay the president and board of trus-

tees of the Baltimore Female Col-

lege the sum of $1, 500 annually, &c.,

To pay to Allegany, Baltimore,

Carroll, Calvert, Cecil, Caroline,

Charles, St. Mary's, Harford, How-

ard, Prince George's, Queen Anne's,

Somerset, Talbot, Worcester and

Washington counties each $400, to

be applied to the public school fund

of the respective counties in addition

to the sums now received by said

counties for school purposes,

ARMS — Governor and Adjutant General autho-

rised to purchase for the State such,

as they may deem necessary, and

that the same be deposited in the

armories of the State and distributed

by the Adjutant General according

to law, but no county having more

than two volunteer companies al-

ready armed and equipped at the

expense of the State shall receive

any portion of such, until the other

counties shall have received, and

accoutrements sufficient for two com-

panies, but in case of failure of any

company to make application for,

within sixty days after notice given

in some newspaper of Baltimore of

the purchase and deposit of such,

which notice it is the duty of the

Adjutant General to give, then said,
