1860.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Treasurer of
the State shall upon the warrant of the Comptrol-
ler of the Treasury Department, disburse the said
sums hereinbefore appropriated for the objects and
purposes specified, to or upon the order of the per-
son or persons, bodies politic or corporate, severally
entitled thereto, and that -the several public officers,
to whom the same or any part thereof may be paid,
shall render quarterly to the Comptroller accounts
of the expenditure thereof, with the proper vouchers
thereof, verified by affidavits, excepting such parts
as may be disbursed out of the executive contingent
fund, upon the order of the Governor, or such furth-
er part thereof as may be paid for, or on account
of salaries fixed by the Constitution and Laws of
this State.

take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT entitled, an act to incorporate the Mount I
Clare George's Creek Coal company.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That William W. McKaig, John J.
Brace, Thomas J. McKaig, Aza Beall and William
M. F. Magraw, and such other persons as may
be associated with them in the manner hereinafter
provided, shall be, and they are hereby constituted
a body politic and corporate, by the name of the
"Mount Clare Georges' Creek Coal company, " and
by that name shall have succession and be able and
capable to sue and bo sued, to plead and be im-
pleaded in any court whatever, and may have and
use a common seal, and may alter and renew the
same at pleasure, and the said body corporate shall
have all the powers, facilities, franchises and rights,
necessary and proper for the carrying on the min-
ing of coal and iron, for erecting and carrying on
furnaces, mills and manufactories and the beneficial
management of its property, and for the transpor-
tation of coal and other proceeds, issues and pro-
