AN ACT appropriating a sum of money to pay P.
C. Rickets, Elijah Wells, George W. Wilson,
William Bouldin, A. G. Gullett, William Evans,
William H. Councel, John W. Heard, William
F. Grammer, Thomas J. Wilson, Morgan and
King, E. F: Church, George W. Jefferson, Ed-
ward J. Wainwright, Mittag and Sneary, E. S.
Wotten & Co., William T. Rowlinson, Thomas
E. Martin & Co., Thomas H. Handy and Levin
E. Straughn.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer, upon the war-
rant of the Comptroller, is hereby authorised and
directed to pay P. C. Ricketts, sixty-three dollars
for advertising in the Cecil Whig list of unpatented
certificates in Cecil county by direction of William
L. W. Seabrook Commissioner of the Land office,
to Elijah Wells, one hundred and thirty-six dollars
and fifty cents, for advertising in the Port Tobacco
Times list of unpatented certificates in Charles
county by direction of William L, W. Seabrook
Commissioner of the Land office, to George W.
Wilson, one hundred and fifty-three dollars for ad-
vertising in the Marlboro' Gazette list of unpatent-
ed certificates in Prince George's county by direc-
tion of the Commissioner of the Land office, to
William Bouldin, three hundred and eight dollars
for advertising in the National American list of un-
patented certificates by direction of the Commis-
sioner of the Land office, to A. G. Gullett, two
hundred dollars and twenty-five cents for advertis-
ing in the Denton Journal list of unpatented cer-
tificates in Caroline county by the direction of the
Commissioner of the Land office, for publishing
Brigade orders by order of General T. Tilghman,
and for publishing Regimental orders by order of
Col. R. C. Carter, to William Evans, four hundred
dollars for advertising in the Civilian and Tele-
graph list of unpatented lands in Allegany county
by direction of the Commissioner of the Land office,
to William H. Council, one hundred and sixty-two
dollars for advertising in the Easton Gazette list of
unpatented lands and brigade orders, to John W.
Heard one hundred and thirty-seven, dollars and
