Residue of
money — how
distributed.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the residue of said million of
dollars be distributed as follows: To Cecil county,
the sum of one hundred and sixty-eight thousand
eight hundred and seventy-seven dollars, and the
same is hereby applied to the following works of
internal improvements in said county: fifty-eight
thousand dollars to the Elkton and Sassafras Rail-
road Company, incorporated by the act of eighteen
hundred and fifty-eight, chapter one hundred and
thirty-eight; thirty-five thousand dollars to the
Philadelphia and Baltimore Central Railroad com-
pany; fifteen thousand eight hundred and seventy-
seven dollars to the Bohemia Bridge company, in-
corporated by the act of eighteen hundred and
fifty-three, chapter three hundred and eighteen;
and sixty thousand dollars to the Columbia and
Port Deposit Railroad company; to Kent county,
the sum of one hundred and one thousand five hun-
dred and thirty-one dollars, which is hereby ap-
plied to the Kent county Railroad company; to
Queen Anne's county, one hundred and ten thou-
sand four hundred and fifty-five dollars, which is
hereby applied to the Queen Anne's and Kent
County Railroad company, the aforesaid appropria-
tion to be applied to the construction of said road
within the limits of Queen Anne's county, or any
other works of internal improvements in said county
that the Legislature may hereafter direct; to Tal-
bot county, one hundred and nine thousand five
hundred and twelve dollars, which is hereby applied
to the Mary land and Delaware Railroad company; to
Caroline county, forty-three thousand eight hun-
dred and forty-six dollars and eighty-six cents, of
which the sum of thirty thousand eight hundred
and forty-six dollars and eighty-six cents is applied
to the Maryland and Delaware Railroad company,
and thirteen thousand dollars to the Choptank and
Mispillion Railroad company; to Dorchester county,
the sum of one hundred and one thousand one hun-
dred and seventy-five dollars, which is hereby ap-
plied to such works of internal improvement in said
county as the legislature may hereafter direct; to
Somerset county, the sum of one hundred and twelve
thousand seven hundred and thirty-eight dollars,
which is hereby applied to the Eastern Shore Railroad
company; to Worcester county, the sum of ninety-
nine thousand one hundred and one dollars, of which
the sum of fifty thousand dollars is hereby applied to
