SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the said Elkton,
Andora and Lewisville Plank and Turnpike Road
company, its successors and assigns shall have
power and authority by and with the assent of the
county commissioners of Cecil county, to abandon
and surrender to the said county commissioners, all
or any part of the line of the said road heretofore
under the charge, control, and direction of the said

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That nothing in this
act shall be so construed as to allow said company
to issue any note, token, scrip, certificate, or other
evidence of debt, to be used as currency.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That this act shall
continue in force for fifty years, but that the Gene-
ral Assembly hereby reserves the right to alter,
amend or repeal this act at pleasure, and that this

AN ACT to amend the nineteenth section of the
twenty-sixth article of the Code of Public Gene-
ral Laws, which provides for the formation of
corporations for the purchase, improvement, sale
and leasing of lands in the city of Baltimore, by
extending the same to the whole State.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the following shall be a substi-
tute for section nineteen of the twenty-sixth article
of the Code of Public General Laws: The provi-
sions of this article from section ten to section eigh-
teen, both inclusive, shall extend to and authorise
the incorporation of all associations for the purpose
of the purchase, improvement and sale and leasing
out of any lands in any county in this State, or in
the city of Baltimore, but to such associations the
limitations contained in the said sections, as to the
