AN ACT to refund to Asahel Willison, late collec-
tor of taxes of Allegany county, moneys over-
paid by him into the State Treasury.

to pay.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer be, and he is here-
by, authorised and directed, upon the warrant of
the Comptroller, to pay to Asahel Willison, late
collector of taxes of Allegany county, the sum of
one hundred and ten dollars and seventy-eight cents,
being the amount overpaid by the said Willison
into the State Treasury.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to incorporate the Baltimore and Liberty
Turnpike Company.
|
|
|
Incorporated.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That John B. Armstrong, G. W.
Bailey, George Whitney, Richard Choate, Samuel
Ward, David Jean, Henry Frantz, James L.
Ridgely, John S. Gittings, and Jesse Slingluff, or
any three of them, and all other persons who may
subscribe to the stock of the said company, as here-
inafter provided, be and they are hereby incorpo-
rated and made a body politic, by the name of the
"Baltimore and Liberty Turnpike Company, " and
by that name shall have perpetual succession, may
sue and be sued, may have and use a common seal,
and may alter the same at pleasure.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the corporation
hereby created, shall have for its object, and is
hereby authorised to make a turnpike road from
Mrs. Cusack's, or the Garrison Forest road, follow-
ing the Liberty road west to the Patapsco Falls, at
Bearne's mill, with the privilege of leaving the
