To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, BERTRAM L. BOONE, II., SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE
OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
edition) DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at a Special election held
in the second precinct of Riverdale District, Prince George's
County, Maryland, an Act known as Chapter 143 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of 1949, was submitted to the voters
of the said second precinct of Riverdale District, for their
adoption or rejection under the provisions thereof, said Act
being:

An Act relating to the levy of a special fire tax in a
certain portion of the Second Precinct of the 19th
Election District of Prince George's County.

AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election 119 votes were cast
in favor of the adoption of Chapter 143 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of 1949, and 75 votes were cast against the
adoption of the said Act, and a majority being cast for the
adoption of the said referred law it has therefore been rati-
fied by the voters of the Second Precinct of Riverdale Dis-
trict.
