(c) If any such collector shall fail to perform any duties
as directed in this section on or before May 1st, succeeding
January 1st, succeeding the year of the levy thereof, said
collector shall be liable to prosecution and on conviction,
shall be fined not less than One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars,
or more than Five Hundred ($500.00) Dollars, at the discre-
tion of the Court.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That Section 124 of
Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Allegany County/7 sub-title "County Tax
Collectors'7 be and it is hereby repealed.
SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the im-
mediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by
three-fifths of all members elected to each of the two Houses
of the General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

(House Bill 106)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
238(e) of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1947 Supplement), title "Testamentary Law," sub-title
"Orphans' Courts," as said section was amended by Chapter
423 of the Acts of 1949, and to add Sub-section (ff) to said
section, to follow immediately after Sub-section (f), relat-
ing to the compensation of the judges of the Orphans' Court
for Talbot County and to repeal Section 326 of Article 21
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Talbot County," sub-title "Orphans' Court,"
as said section was amended by Chapter 687 of the Acts
of 1947.
WHEREAS, Chapter 687 of the Acts of 1947, provided that
the compensation of the judges of the Orphans' Court of
Talbot County shall be $12.00 per day; and
