of the respective acts and duties heretofore defined is speci-
fically enjoined, and any failure upon the part of any person,
persons, body corporate or agency, to perform the necessary
acts and duties in this sub-title set forth and to pay over
said funds as required, or the use of said funds or any part
thereof for any other purpose than is required by this sub-
title, is hereby declared a crime and, upon indictment and
conviction in the Circuit Court for the County, shall be pun-
ishable by a fine not exceeding One Thousand Dollars or im-
prisonment not exceeding three years, or both, in the discre-
tion of the Court.

173. The County Commissioners shall keep a separate
record of its proceedings as District Council for each Taxing
and Assessment District; shall deposit all money received by
it on account of each district to the credit of the County
Commissioners as District Council for such district; shall re-
quire' the depositary to give the same security for the repay-
ment of the money deposited and to pay the same interest, as
is now, or may hereafter be, required by the laws relating to
the deposit of county funds.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Sections 559 to
565, inclusive, of the Code of Anne Arundel County (1947
Edition), being Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, title "Anne Arundel County", sub-title "Taxing
and Assessment Districts", be and they are hereby repealed.
PROVIDED THAT SUCH REPEAL SHALL NOT BE CON-
STRUED AS IN ANY MANNER AFFECTING ANY
BONDS ISSUED UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF SAID
SECTIONS 559 TO 565, INCLUSIVE, OF THE CODE OF
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY OR AS AFFECTING ANY
ACTION OR PROCEEDINGS TAKEN UNDER SAID
SECTIONS, BUT ALL SUCH BONDS AND ANY SUCH
ACTION OR PROCEEDINGS SHALL BE CONSTRUED
AND TREATED AS IF THIS ACT HAS NOT BEEN
PASSED.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1950.
