CHAPTER 52
(Senate Bill 141)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
6 of Chapter 502 of the Acts of 1949, relating to the
levy and collection of taxes to pay the interest on and
principal of the General Public School Assistance Loan
of 1949.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 6 of Chapter 502 of the Acts of
1949, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That the County
Commissioners of the several counties of the State and
the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore are hereby res-
pectively directed to levy the State taxes for the [years!
year 1950 [and 19511 at 1.2 cents (1.2c) on each One
Hundred Dollars ($100) of assessable property, for the
year 1951 at one-tenth of one cent (.1c) on each One Hun-
dred Dollars ($100) of assessable property and for the
