By Senator Sothoron:

Ordered, That the rules adopted by the Senate of Maryland at
the regular session of 1950 be hereby adopted as the rules governing
the Senate of Maryland during the present special session of 1950
until otherwise ordered.

Which was read and so ordered.

By Senator Sothoron:

Ordered, That the monies appropriated for the expenses of this
special session, as set forth in the appropriation bill, be paid upon
the joint order of the President of the Senate and the Speaker of
the House of Delegates.

Which was read and so ordered by yeas and nays as follows:

President, Bailey, Balch, Barton, Beck, Carter, Fraley, Goldstein, Hoff,
Hofferbert, Johnson, Guy, Johnson, T. F., Kimble, NcAllister, McLaughlin,
Monroe, O'Neill, Phoebus, Shallcross, Sotheren, Storm, Stromberg, Stro-
meyer, Thomas, Turnbull, White. Total—26

By Senator Sothoron:

Resolved, That the following shall be desk officers for the Extra-
ordinary Session of July 27, 1950:

C. Andrew Shaab, of Howard County, to be Secretary of the
Senate.

Walter D. Addison, of Prince George's County, to be Journal
Clerk of the Senate.

James J. Hurwitz, of Baltimore City, to be Reading Clerk of
the Senate.

James G. Knotts, of Queen Anne's County, to be Sergeant-at-
Arms of the Senate.

Albin G. Owings, to be Chief Page of the Senate.

J. Frank Lupo, of Baltimore County, to be Assistant Journal
Clerk of the Senate.

Alfred Quimby, of Talbot County, to be Assistant Secretary
of the Senate.
