CHAPTER 11
(Senate Bill 11)

AN ACT to add two new sections to Article 5 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Calvert County", to be under sub-title "Schools", said
new sections to be known as Sections 247 and 248 and to
follow immediately after Section 246 of said Article, au-
thorizing the Board of Education of Calvert County to
provide certain transportation to children attending cer-
tain schools in said county and authorizing the County
Commissioners of said county to levy and appropriate
sufficient funds to pay the costs thereof.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That two new sections be and they are hereby added
to Article 5 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Calvert County", to be under sub-title
"Schools", said new sections to be known as Sections 247
and 248, to follow immediately after Section 246 of said
Article, and to read as follows:

SCHOOLS

247. (a) All children, who attend any non-profit schools
in Calvert County, which schools do not receive State aid,
and who reside on or along or near to the public highways
of Calvert County, on which there is now or hereafter oper-
ated a public school bus or conveyance provided by the Board
of Education of said county for transporting children to and
from the public schools of Calvert County, shall be entitled
to transportation on such buses or conveyances as now are
or as may be hereafter established, operated or provided by
the Board of Education of said County for transporting
children to and from the public schools of said County, and
the same shall be provided for them by the said Board of
Education of Calvert County, subject to the conditions herein-
after set forth, from a point on the said public highways
nearest or most accessible to their respective homes to a
point on said public highways nearest or most accessible to
their respective schools, without changing the routes of said
buses or conveyances now or hereafter established by said
Board of Education of Calvert County for transporting
children to and from the public schools and such transporta-
tion shall be provided by the Board of Education, as afore-
said, for all the children attending schools described herein,
upon the same terms and conditions as now are or as may
be hereafter established by the Board of Education of said
County for children attending public schools.
