in equal monthly installments, said sum to be payment in full
for any and all services performed on behalf of the Mayor and
Aldermen of the City of Annapolis, or any agency thereof.
1A. On and after July 15, 1945, the said Mayor and Alder-
men of the City of Annapolis shall elect a member of the Bar
of Anne Arundel County, a resident of the City of Annapolis,
to be the City Attorney, to serve for the term of four years 5
said City Attorney shall not be entitled to vote with the
Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Annapolis. He shall
receive a salary of Twelve Hundred Dollars ($1, 200. 00) a
year, payable monthly, shall attend at the meetings of the said
Mayor and Aldermen, shall attend to all the law business of
said City, and shall advise the Mayor and Aldermen as to all
legal matters at such time or times as he may be called upon
so to do. He shall not be authorized to employ any other
attorney to assist him in his legal work without the consent
of the Mayor and Aldermen of said City first had and ob-
tained, and the compensation of the attorney especially em-
ployed shall not exceed the sum of Five Hundred Dollars
(f 500. 00) in any one case.
IB. From and after July 15, 1945, the name and style of
the Corporation of the City of Annapolis shall be and the
same is hereby changed from "Mayor, Counselor and Alder-
men of the City of Annapolis," to "Mayor and Aldermen of
the City of Annapolis", and wherever in the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Anne Arundel County", sub-
title "Annapolis", or the ordinances passed in pursuance there-
of, the words "Mayor, Counselor and Aldermen of the City
of Annapolis" appear, said words shall after said date be
read "Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Annapolis".
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

Chapter 634 of the Acts of 1941, title "Insurance", sub-title
"General Provisions", and enact in lieu thereof a new section
