CHAPTER 647.
(House Bill 729)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 12 of the Code of
Public Local Laws (1930 Edition), title "Garrett County",
sub-title "County Commissioners", said section to be known
as Section 95B and to follow immediately after Section 95A
of said Article, as said section was enacted by Chapter 35 of
the Acts of 1939, providing for an annual appropriation b^
the County Commissioners of Garrett County of One Thou-
sand Dollars ($1, 000. 00)' for expenditure by the Livestock
Sanitary Service in the prevention, control or eradication
of animal diseases.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary*
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
12 of the Code of Public Local Laws (1930 Edition), title
"Garrett County", sub-title "County Commissioners", said
section to be known as Section 95B, to follow immediately
after Section 95A of said Article, as said section was enacted
by Chapter 36 of the Acts of 1939, and to read as follows:

95B. The County Commissioners of Garrett County an-
nually shall levy, appropriate and pay over the sum of • One-
Thousand Dollars ($1, 000. 00) to the Board of Regents of the
University of Maryland acting as the State Board of Agricul-
ture, to be expended in said County by the Livestock Sanitary
Service, under its rules and regulations, for the prevention,
control or eradication of animal diseases therein, in addition to
State, Federal or other funds under its control available for
such expenditure.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.
