812 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 630

Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Alle-
gany County", sub-title "Fire Companies", as said sections
were amended by Chapter 392 of the Acts of 1941, be and they
are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

174. The County Commissioners of Allegany County are
hereby authorized, empowered and directed to pay the sum of
|8, 400. 00 annually to the several volunteer fire companies
so long as said fire companies remain incorporated bodies, for
their benefit, said sum of money to be used by the respective
fire companies for the purchase, repair or maintenance of fire
fighting equipment or for the repair, maintenance or upkeep
of buildings used by the respective fire companies.

175. Said payment shall be made on the first day of Sep-
tember in each and every year by the County Commissioners
of Allegany County, and it shall be distributed as follows:
To the Volunteer Fire Company of Bowman's Addition,
the Volunteer Fire Company of Clarysville, and the Balti-
more Pike Volunteer Fire Department, $400 each; to the
Frostburg Fire Department of Frostburg, Maryland, the sum
of |1, 000. 00; to the Good Will Fire Company of Lonaconing,
Maryland, the sum of f 800. 00; to the Potomac Fire Company
No. 2 of Westernport, Maryland, the sum of $675. 00; to the
Midland Fire Department of Midland, Maryland, the sum of
1675. 00; to the Mount Savage Fire Department of Mount Sav-
age, Maryland, the sum of f 675. 00; to the Volunteer Fire Com-
pany of Barton, Barton, Maryland, the sum of f 500. 00; to the
Luke Fire Company, Inc., the sum of f500. 00; to the LaVale
Volunteer Fire Company, Inc., the sum of $500. 00; to the
Cresaptown Fire Department, the sum of f675. 00; to the
Borden Shaft Volunteer Fire Company No. 1, the sum of
1400. 00; to the McCoole Fire Company, the sum of f400. 00;
and to the Corriganville Fire Company, the sum of $400. 00.

SEC. '2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.
