vard, thence with the east marginal line of Pangborn Boulevard
in a general northerly direction, a distance of 1, 325 feet to a
point where the Pangborn Boulevard makes a right angle turn
westward, thence with the north marginal line of Pangborn
Boulevard in a westerly direction a distance of 100 feet, more
or less, to a point, thence leaving the said Pangborn Boulevard
and in a northerly direction a distance of 3, 680 feet, more or
less, to the north marginal line of the County Road leading
from the Hagerstown-Leitersburg Turnpike to Fiddlersburg,
the place of beginning; excluding, however, from the afore-
going description, all the property included in the aforegoing
description which was annexed to said taxable limits of the
City of Hagerstown by Chapter 646 of the Acts of 1939, which
was not owned by the Mayor and Council of Hagerstown at
the time of the effective date of that Act according to the land
records of Washington County, it having been the intent and
purpose of that Act to annex only the City Farm and any other
property then belonging to the Mayor and Council of Hagers-
town within the boundaries as above described.

Provided, however, that for development, drainage, sewerage,
sanitary and police purposes, the Mayor and Council of Hag-
erstown shall have and exercise full power and control for a
distance of one mile in every direction from said corporate
limits.

. SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 595.
(House Bill 630)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
285B of Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Washington County", sub-
title "Hagerstown", as said section was amended by Chap-
ter 2 of the Acts of 1941, eliminating the provisions of said
section which are in conflict with the provisions of Section
236 of said Article.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 285B of Article 22 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Washington
County", sub-title "Hagerstown", as said section was amended
