Local Laws of Maryland, shall be construed to limit the
amount of tax to be levied for the payment of interest upon
and the redemption of said bonds.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That the power and au-
thority conferred by this Act shall be in addition to and sup-
plementary to the provisions of Sections 328 and 347, both
inclusive, of Article 43 of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland (1924 Edition), and Sections 348A to 348R, both
inclusive, of said Article 43 of the Code of Public General Laws
of Maryland (1935 Edition), and The Mayor and Council of
Rockville shall remain subject to the provisions of all of said
statutes above referred to and shall be entitled to exercise all
of the powers therein conferred, notwithstanding any of the
provisions of this Act.

SEC. 6. And be It further enacted. That no statute, and par-
ticularly Sections 878A to 895, both inclusive, of Article 16 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
shall be deemed to be any limitation upon the powers of the
said The Mayor and Council of Rockville by this Act conferred.

SEC. 7. -And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and being
passed upon <aye" and "nay" vote, supported by three-fifths of
all of the members of the two Houses of the General Assem-
bly, the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to authorize the Hillandale Fire Department, Inc.,
of Montgomery County, to borrow money for the construc-
tion of a Fire House and to purchase land for the same and
for equipment, and authorizing the Board of County Com-
missioners for Montgomery County to levy a tax on the
Hillandale Subdivision and Cresthaven Subdivision for such
purpose.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Hillandale Fire Department, Inc., of Mont-
