be canvassed at the same time and in the same manner as are
votes for the regular election.

And in the event that said election shall be held at some
time other than a regular election the poll books showing the
registered voters of said Town last registered shall be used.

In the event that at such election the majority of votes cast
for and against the storm water sewer, bridge and drainage
loan shall be in favor of the storm water sewer, bridge and
drainage loan, then this Act shall be in full force and effect,
but in event that the majority of votes so cast shall be against
the storm water sewer, bridge and drainage loan then the
Mayor and Common Council may submit the same questions
in the same manner and under this Act to the qualified voters
of said Town at the succeeding general elections in said Town.

SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the preser-
vation of the public health and safety, and being passed upon
a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of all the mem-
bers elected to each of the two Houses of the General As-
sembly, the same shall take effect on the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 510.
(House Bill 373)

AN ACT to repeal Section 47 of Article 11 of Flack's Anno-
tated Code of Public General Laws of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Banks and Trust Companies", sub-title
"Savings Institutions", and re-enact the same, with amend-
ments, so as to provide that the treasurer of any savings
institution shall not be required to include in said written
statement any check or voucher outstanding growing out of
or emanating from any Christmas Savings Fund, Christmas
Deposit or other similar deposits having a maturity of one
year or less, of any such savings institution.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 47 of Article 11 of Flack's Annotated Code
of Public General Laws of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Banks and Trust Companies", sub-title "Savings Institu-
tions", be repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, so as to
read as follows:
