CHAPTER 423.
(Senate Bill 399)

AN ACT to repeal Section 221 of Article 18 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition, ), title
"Queen Anne's County", sub-title "Cruelty to Animals".

WHEREAS, Section 221 merely provided that the local
laws of Baltimore City applying to cruelty to animals
should apply to Queen Anne's County; and

WHEREAS, the local laws of Baltimore City were repealed
and a State-wide law enacted, thereby making Section 221
no longer necessary; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 221 of Article 18 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Queen Anne's County", sub-title "Cruelty to Animals", be
and it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1943.

Approved April 30, 1943.

CHAPTER 424.
(Senate Bill 400)

AN ACT to repeal Section 233 of Article 18 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition, ), title
"Queen Anne's County", sub-title "Fines", said section
relating to the payment of fines unclaimed by informers.

WHEREAS, informers' fees have been abolished, thereby
making the provisions of this Section unnecessary; there-
fore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 233 of Article 18 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Queen Anne's County", sub-title "Fines", be and it is
hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1943.

Approved April 30, 1943.
