the approval of the Board of Public Works, sell, lease, trans-
fer, exchange, grant or otherwise dispose of any real or per-
sonal property under the jurisdiction and control of said
Board, Commission, Department or other agency of the
State, and to grant and convey rights of way or other ease-
ments in or over such property.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
78A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Public Works, Board of", said new section to be known as
Section 8A, to -follow immediately after Section 8 of said
Article and to read as follows:

8A. Any Board, Commission, Department or other agency
of the State which has under its jurisdiction or control any
real or personal property of the State of Maryland, may, with
the approval of the Board of Public Works, for a considera-
tion adequate in the opinion of said Board, sell, lease, trans-
fer, exchange, grant or otherwise dispose of the same, or may
grant or convey rights of way or other easements in or over the
same, to any person, firm, corporation, or to the United States
or any agency thereof, or to any other Board, Commission,
Department or other agency of the State of Maryland. Deeds,
leases or other evidences of conveyance of any property or in-
terest therein disposed of hereunder shall be executed by the
highest official of any such Board, Commission, Department
or other agency of the State and by the Board of Public
Works. If the consideration received for the disposition of
any real or personal property or interest therein is other real
or personal property, such property so received shall be held
and accounted for in the same manner as other property within
the jurisdiction and control of the Board, Commission, De-
partment or other agency of the State receiving said property.
If the consideration received for any such disposition is cash,
in whole or in part, the proceeds shall be accounted for and
remitted to the State Treasurer.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.
