teer fire companies, to conduct or operate a game of Bingo for
the benefit of charity in Baltimore or Howard Counties, or in
furtherance of the purpose of such organization, corporation
or volunteer fire department.
It shall be unlawful, however, for any individual, co-partner-
ship, corporation or group or organization, not legal residents
of Baltimore County or Howard County to operate any game of
Bingo in their respective Counties for the benefit of any such
local organization, corporation or volunteer fire department,
except that the Maryland State Fair and Agricultural Society
of Baltimore County and the White Hall Farmers Club and
Improvement Association may sell or lease the right or conces-
sion to any person, co-partnership, firm, group, corporation or
organization, regardless of the residence of such purchaser or
lessee, to conduct or operate the game of Bingo at the yearly
Fairs held by them at Timonium and White Hall in Baltimore
County.
SEC. 2. And "be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.
This bill became a law on February 18, 1943, without the
approval of the Governor, in accordance with the provisions of
Article 2, Section 17 of the State Constitution.
CHAPTER 35.
(House Bill 2)
AN ACT to repeal Sections 27 and 29 of Article 59 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Lunatics
and Insane", sub-title "Board of Mental Hygiene", said
sections relating to reports to the Board of Mental Hygiene.
WHEREAS, the provisions of Section 19 of Article 59 more
adequately cover the provisions contained in Sections 27 and
29; therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 27 and 29 of Article 59 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Lunatics and Insane"^
sub-title "Board of Mental Hygiene", be and they are hereby
repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.
