lected in like manner as other taxes levied in said County are
collected, and when collected, shall be applied exclusively to
the payment of the interest on said bonds and to their re-
demption as and when they mature.
SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all the members elected to each of the two Houses
of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect from the
date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections
442 and 446 of Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Harford County", sub-title "Roads", as said
sections are codified in Higinbothom's Code of the Laws of
Harford County, which Code is being duly legalized at the
1943 Session of the Legislature.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 442 and 446 of Article 13 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford County", sub-
title "Roads", be, and the same are hereby, repeal and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
442. The said Commissioners may have prepared by the
County Surveyor an official road map of the county, upon
which shall be designated all county roads and the distance
between intersections of roads or prominent places thereon;
whenever a new road shall be opened or accepted or an old
road altered or closed its location or the fact that it has been
altered or closed shall be properly designated on said map.
Said Commissioners may, at their discretion, have finger-boards
or sign posts placed at road crossings or intersections desig-
nating the distance to the nearest prominent point and may
give suitable names to the county roads and change the same
as they may see fit.
446. The said Roads Engineer, appointed under the pro-
visions of the preceding section, shall have charge and super-
