their employees in its, his or their service, or under his, its or
their control to work for more than ten hours during each or
any day of twenty-four hours for one full day's work and shall
make no contract or agreement with such employees or any of
them providing that they or he shall work for more than ten
hours for one day's work during each or any day of twenty-
four hours and said ten hours shall constitute one full day's
work.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 23.
(Senate Bill 47)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 50
of Article 100 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Work—Hours of, in Factories", sub-title
"Employment of Minors", to increase the fee for physician's
certificate.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 50 of Article 100 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Work—Hours of, in Fac-
tories", sub-title "Employment of Minors", be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
50. No fee shall be charged or collected from any minor, or
from his parents, guardian, legal custodian or next friend for
any services rendered by the Commissioner of Labor and Sta-
tistics, or by any school, or other officer issuing a permit, or
for any school certificate or physician's certificate issued under
the provisions of this sub-title; but in the counties the physician
or physicians designated by the Commissioner of Labor and
Statistics for each county shall be entitled to receive a fee of
two dollars for each physician's certificate issued by him under
the provisions of this Article, said sum to be paid by the Com-
missioner of Labor and Statistics.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.
