ment in lots or quantities of one hundred (100) certificates,
which shall be in duplicate or triplicate as the Department
may determine.
After inspecting and approving the safety factors of a motor
vehicle, the official inspection station shall cause a certificate
to be pasted in the lower right hand corner of the windshield
of the motor vehicle or in such position as to be visible from
the outside.
245. IMPROPER REPRESENTATION AS OFFICIAL STATION, (a)
No person shall in any manner represent any place as an
official inspection station unless such station is then oper-
ating under a valid permit, nor shall any person issue a cer-
tificate of inspection and approval unless then holding a valid
permit hereunder.
(b) No person shall make, issue, or knowingly use any imi-
tation or counterfeit of an official certificate of inspection.
Violation of Sections 244 and 245 shall be deemed to be a
misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punishable by a fine
of $1. 00 to f 100. 00.
246. OWNERS AND DRIVERS TO COMPLY WITH INSPECTION
LAWS, (a) In the event repair or adjustment of the equip-
ment of any vehicle is found necessary upon inspection, the
owner of said vehicle may obtain such repair or adjust-
ment at any place he may choose, but in every event a cer-
tificate of inspection and approval must be obtained from an
official inspection station whenever required under the provi-
sions of this Article; otherwise any such vehicle shall not be
operated upon the highways of this State.
(b) No person shall display or cause or permit to be dis-
played upon any vehicle any certificate of inspection and ap-
proval knowing the same to be fictitious or issued for another
vehicle or issued without an inspection having been made.
Violation of this section shall be deemed to be a misde-
meanor and upon conviction shall be punishable by a fine of
One (f 1. 00) dollar to One Hundred ($100. 00) dollars.
247. COMPUTING WEIGHT OF SOLID TIRE MOTOR VEHICLES.
The weight of such motor vehicles shall be computed by adding
the weight of the vehicle and the weight of its load.
248. COMPUTING WEIGHT OF SOLID TIRE VEHICLE WITH
TRAILER ATTACHED. Whenever a trailer on solid tires is at-
tached to such vehicle, the weight thereof shall be computed
by adding the combined weights of such vehicle and such trailer
and the combined weights of the loads thereon; provided, how-
ever, that when such trailer is equipped with adequate brakes,
