shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall upon conviction
be fined not less than Five Dollars (f 5. 00) nor more than Fifty
Dollars ($50. 00).

210. Bus OWNER OR OPERATOR FAILING TO MEET SCHOOL Bus
REGULATIONS. Furthermore, any school bus owner or operator
permitting a school bus to be operated which does not meet
the regulations mentioned in this Article or which violates any
other provisions of this Article shall be guilty of a misde-
meanor and shall upon conviction be fined not less than Five
Dollars ($5. 00) nor more than Fifty Dollars ($50. 00).

211. HIGHWAY SIGNS WITH RESUME OF SCHOOL Bus LAWS.
The State Roads Commission shall erect signs at the State line
on all interstate roads entering Maryland apprising the public
of the existence of the school bus laws in this State and giving
a brief resume of the provisions of said law for its proper
observance by motorists entering the State.

212. MOVING UNSAFE VEHICLES, (a) It is a misdemeanor
for any person to drive or move or for the owner to cause
or knowingly permit to be driven or moved on any highway
any vehicle or combination of vehicles which is in such un-
safe condition as to endanger any person, or which does not
contain those parts or is not at all times equipped with such
lamps and other equipment in proper condition and adjust-
ment as required in this Article, or for any person to do any
act forbidden or fail to perform any act required under this
Article.

(b) The provisions of this Article with respect to equipment
on vehicles shall not apply to implements of husbandry, road
machinery, road rollers, or farm tractors except as herein
made applicable.

213. WHEN LIGHTED LAMPS ARE REQUIRED. (a) Every
vehicle upon a highway within this State at any time when
there is not sufficient day light to render persons, vehicles,
animals and substantial objects on the highway clearly dis-
cernible at a distance of 300 feet ahead, shall display lighted
lamps and illuminating devices as hereinafter respectively
required for different classes of vehicles, subject to exceptions
with respect to parked vehicles as hereinafter stated.

(b) Whenever requirement is hereinafter declared as to the
distance from which certain lamps and devices shall render
objects visible or within which such lamps or devices shall be
visible, said provisions shall apply during the times stated in
subdivision (a) of this section upon a straight level unlighted
