110. OWNERS AND OPERATORS OF MOTOR VEHICLES IN EVENT
OF CERTAIN JUDGMENTS. 1. (a) The department shall sus-
pend the operator's and chauffeur's license and all registra-
tion certificates or cards and registration plates issued to any
person upon receiving authenticated reports as hereinafter pro-
vided that such person has failed for a period of thirty days to
satisfy any final judgment in amount and upon a cause of
action as hereinafter stated.

(b) The judgment hereinbefore referred to shall mean a
final judgment of any court of competent jurisdiction in any
State or of the United States against a person as defendant
upon a cause of action as hereinafter stated.

(e) The judgment herein referred to shall mean any final
judgment for damage to property in excess of Twenty-five
($25. 00) dollars or for damages in any amount on account of
bodily injury to or death of any person resulting from the
ownership, operation, maintenance or use of any motor vehicle.

(d) This Article shall not apply to any such judgment
rendered against any political sub-division of this State or any
municipality therein.

(e) A discharge in bankruptcy or under insolvency proceed-
ings after the rendition of any such judgment shall not relieve
such owner, operator or chauffeur from the obligation to satis-
fy such judgment before having his license renewed.

2. The suspension required in paragraph "1-(a)" of
this section shall remain in effect and no other motor vehicle
shall be registered in the name of such judgment debtor nor
any new license issued to such person unless and until such
judgment is satisfied or stayed and the judgment debtor gives
proof of financial responsibility in future, as specified by this
Article.

3. (a) Every judgment herein referred to shall for the pur-
poses of this Article be deemed satisfied:

(1) When five thousand dollars ($5, 000. 00) has been credited
upon any judgment rendered in excess of that amount for
bodily injury to or the death of one person as the result of any
one accident; or

(2) When, subject to said limit of $5, 000. 00 as to one person,
the sum of $10, 000. 00 has been credited upon any judgment or
judgments rendered in excess of that amount for injury to or
the death of more than one person as the result of any one
accident; or
