(2) BUSES: Every motor vehicle designed for carrying more
than ten (10) passengers and used for the transportation of
persons; and every motor vehicle other than a taxicab, de-
signed and used for the transportation of persons for com-
pensation.

(3) BUSINESS DISTRICT: The territory contiguous to and in-
cluding a highway when 50 per cent or more of the frontage
thereon for a distance of 300 feet or more is occupied by build-
ings in use for business.

(4) CHAUFFEUR: Every person who is employed for the pur-
pose of operating a motor vehicle and every person who oper-
ates a motor vehicle while in use as a public or common carrier
of persons or property, or for hire.

(5) COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLES: (a) All motor vehicles
including semi-trailers and trailers designed and used for car-
rying freight or merchandise or

(b) All motor vehicles used for carrying freight or mer-
chandise in the furtherance of any commercial enterprise.

(6) COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLES—FOR HIRE: All motor ve-
hicles, including semi-trailers and trailers, except taxicabs,
used or to be used in the transportation of passengers or prop-
erty for hire. Nothing herein shall be construed as including
motor vehicles used for the purpose of towing disabled motor
vehicles.

(7) COMMISSIONER: The Commissioner of Motor Vehicles of
this State.

(8) CONVICTION: For the purpose of this Article the term
"conviction" shall mean a final conviction. Also, for the pur-
pose of this Article a forfeiture of bail or collateral deposited
to secure a defendant's appearance In court, which forfeiture
has not been vacated, shall be equivalent to a conviction.

(9) CROSSWALK: Any portion of a roadway distinctly indi-
cated for pedestrian crossing by lines or other marking on the
surface or that portion of a roadway ordinarily included
within the prolongation or connection of the lateral lines of
sidewalks at intersections.

(10) DEALER: The term "dealer" shall be limited to individ-
uals, firms or corporations, whose principal business is that of
buying, selling or exchanging new motor vehicles and who have
an established place for the conduct of such business and
who are:
